The Taste of South Philly to be held
Monday, November 3, 2003 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm


PHILADELPHIA, PA - (Send2Press Newswire) - Oct. 2, 2003 -- The Taste of
South Philly will be held on Monday, November 3, 2003, from 6:30 pm to
9:00 pm at the Wachovia Center Complex, 3601 South Broad Street,
Philadelphia, PA.  In its eighth year, all proceeds from this fundraiser
go directly towards tuition assistance in support of St. Maria Goretti
High School.

The Honorary Chair is Rosemarie B. Greco, Director, Office of Healthcare
Reform.  The first graduating class, the class of 1958, will be honored as
a tribute to Goretti's rich tradition and heritage.

The event has become a well-known tasting event over the years.  In 1998,
The Taste of South Philly took first place for "Best Event" by the
National Society of Fundraising Executives.

Entertainment will be provided by Bob Pantano of Oldies 98 FM and the
South Philly String Band.  

Restaurants, bakeries, wine and liquor
distributors, beer distributors and many more come ready to fill attendees
with food and drink!
